European Union College Hockey League Names Sparx Hockey Official Skate Sharpening Equipment Provider

Bratislava, Slovakia – June 27, 2026 - The European Union College Hockey League (EUCHL) today announced a new multi-year, exclusive partnership with Sparx Hockey, naming the company the Official Skate Sharpening Equipment Provider of the newly-formed league.

The EUCHL will officially launch in October 2026, creating a new opportunity for student-athletes seeking elite academics and high-level hockey in Europe. The league was formed in response to evolving NCAA rules and increasing competition for roster spots, scholarship opportunities, and player development pathways. By combining competitive hockey with strong academic institutions, the EUCHL provides a premier alternative for players navigating the changing collegiate hockey landscape. The EUCHL currently consists of six teams located in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

Beginning with the upcoming season, EUCHL member clubs will gain access to Sparx Hockey’s industry-leading automated skate sharpening systems, helping deliver consistent, high-quality sharpening standards across the league while supporting player performance and operational efficiency for team staff.
